The Independent Commission on Mental Health and Policing has today launched a public consultation open to anyone who wants to share their views about mental health and policing in reference to the Metropolitan Police Service in London.
The Commission wishes to gather a range of views to help make this a relevant and grounded report, strengthened by the understanding of the direct experience and views of the public. It is inviting comment from members of the public, organisations and anyone else who has an interest in the area. The website will allow people to securely and anonymously share their experiences and opinions about the key issues in mental health and policing.
Chair of the Commission, Lord Victor Adebowale said:
“This is the opportunity for London to get involved with the work of the Commission – we are helping the police to improve a key area of their work and your contribution will help us to get it right.”
The consultation will run for four weeks, closing on 8 February.
